Yes, ExpressEfile supports the revised Form 941 with COVID-19 related changes. Due to COVID-19, the IRS released a revised Form 941 which includes additional entries to report and reconcile tax credits.
Changes in Quarter 2 of 2020:
The revised Form is available for use from the 2nd quarter of 2020. 13 lines have been included to accommodate the changes: Line 5a(i), 5a(ii), 11b, 11c, 13b, 13c, 13d, 13f, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25.
Changes in Quarter 3 and 4 of 2020:
The IRS also revised Form 941 for Quarter 3, 2020, to accommodate the changes related to deferment of the employee portion of social security taxes. The change has been made due to the announcement that allows employers to defer the employee portion of social security taxes for the qualified wages paid between September 01 and December 31, 2020. There are changes in 4 lines of Form 941: Line 1, 13b, 24, and 25.
Changes in Quarter 1 of 2021:
Employers will no longer be able to defer the employer or employee share of social security taxes for the 2021 tax year as the social security deferment timeline ended on December 31, 2020. To assist this change, the IRS has revised Form 941 for Quarter 1 of 2021. There are changes in 4 lines of Form 941: Line 13b, 13e, 13g, and 24.
