With ExpressEfile, you can easily e-file Form 940 along with Schedule A electronically in a few minutes.
- Sign in to your ExpressEfile account
- Go to Dashboard and click the Start New Form button
- Select Form 940 from the supported forms
- Complete Page 1 of Form 940
- Complete Schedule A (if you are a multi-state employer or operating business in the credit reduction state)
- Complete Page 2 of Form 940
- Choose the IRS payment option (if you’re paying tax dues)
- Sign Form 940 using Online Signature PIN or Form 8453-EMP
- Review the information entered and fix the internal audit errors if any
- Make payment and transmit the return to the IRS.
Your return will be transmitted to the IRS, and you’ll be notified by email when the return is accepted. You can also download or email the return from the Dashboard.
