Since the payroll deferment timeline has ended, employers are not able to defer the employer and employee shares of social security taxes for the 2021 tax year. To accommodate for this change, the IRS has revised Form 941 for Quarter 1, 2021.

Here are the Form 941 changes:

  • Line 13b: Reserved for future use
  • Line 13e: Total deposits and refundable credits.
  • Line 13g: Total deposits and refundable credits less advances
  • Line 24: Reserved for future use

With ExpressEfile, you can e-file Form 941 easily and accurately. You will also receive an email once the IRS processes your return. To learn how to file Form 941, click here.
